Heterosexual director Renny (DIE HARD 2, DEEP BLUE SEA) Harlin has inexplicably slipped over to the other side with his boy-band-of-witches saga, THE COVENANT. He has taken a bunch of Aberzombies, build them in some sort of prep school and given them supernatural powers, forced them to join the swim team, and thrown a few disposable girls in for splendid measure. And at no point does the region of the film or the acting interfere with the camera’s plan of said Aberzombies’ abs.

This memoir of the “Sons of Ipswitch”, the gifted descendants of the founding fathers of Salem, moves along fairly briskly, with some decent effects and fun stunt work, but first and foremost, the genuine object of the film is to linger lasciviously upon the admirable assets of young, unironically-named Steven Strait. Seriously – the witchcraft, spiders, explosions, raves, and everything else retract humble second-stage to loving shots of Strait rocking a tanktop, Strait rocking a tight v-neck t-shirt, Strait wearing a Speedo. We haven’t seen male body-worship on this scale since Ryan Reynolds battled cross spirits that threatened to withhold him wet and shirtless for Amityville Horror’s entire running time.

Strait plays Caleb, a member of an elite band of underwear models who have gone undercover as witches at a prep school in Massachusetts. (You know, so as not to attract attention) . Aside from Caleb, there’s the long-haired one, the blonde one, and another one who evades description entirely, to the point that it’s impossible to identify him in any group scenes. The Metrosexual trickle-down has apparently left our high schools populated by an army of pomade-enhanced, cap-sleeved man-boys who are so self-approvingly gorgeous that the girls in their lives can do very runt to distract them from their vaguely homoerotic navel-gazing. (Whereas DAZED & CONFUSED presented teen angst in a haze of pot smoke, here it is clouded by an overabundance of Axe Body Spray.)

The dwelling of the film was summed up well enough in the commercials (and is ultimately too mind-numbingly simplistic to acquire into) — the well-known thing is that in this teen witch chronicle, the witches are the celebrated kids. Rather than your typical “supernaturally enhanced underdog” record (CARRIE, THE CRAFT ), here we contemplate four rich, white boys who clearly dominate their school and also happen to bask in a gift that allows them to accomplish magic. But, watching these kids earn everything they want is not nearly as compelling as watching someone who actually NEEDS this power to gain attend at their enemies or overturn the area quo.

The overwhelming homoeroticism of THE COVENANT includes a scene where Caleb and his best bud Pogue are talking on the phone, and both are shirtless, lying in bed, and drenched with sweat. We seriously expected the words “MEET LOCAL GUYS!” to flash across the top of the mask. There’s also some locker room action featuring buns galore and a gay-baiting incident where another young man gets called a “fag” by a different long-haired boy (seriously, it’s so hard to deny these guys apart…) and the young man beats his tormenter down – without actually denying the accusation. (Interestingly enough, he even makes reference to looking at the kid’s manhood.) At another point an unfriendly Aberzombie pins Caleb to the floor and kisses him on the face roughly — In a Terror NO Faulty kind of scheme, only with far more dazzling men enthusiastic.

So if you are looking for a satisfying all-male companion section to the salubrious teen-witch thriller THE CRAFT, retain waiting. This isn’t it… If – however – you are looking for a warm-up to wet your guests appetites as they approach for All-Male Porno night, observe no further – Renny Harlin has done an admirable job.

I dont feel that this film was reminiscent of The Craft. Yes it alive to boys with powers but the epic was completely different. i impartial feel that it is insulting that it was said to be a “guy version of the craft.” I do agree that is wasnt the most wonderful movie out there but i loved this movie. LOVED. i was very cheerful with the acting and the station. a diminutive underdeveloped and at times, cheesey but all in all i would use money to peer it more than once. Steven Strait really had an opportunity to showcase his talent in this film and all the other guys did well in their rolls. Watching the movie made me giddy…almost as though i was drunk on the power in the film. did i mention i loved it? getting to search for all the sons of ipswich in their speedo moments didnt pain. I didnt like the choice of Laura Ramsey to play the leading female, shes astronomical for teen comedies but i idea she did a shabby job as a serious role. I feel that with a exiguous more development this film could have done very very well in the box office. I know i disfavor to leer movies i appreciate secure bashed by the press or not do too well cash wise but glance at it this map, Kingdom of Heaven *directed by sir ridley scott* did badly in theatres as well but it is an astonishing film. anecdote. romantic. well done. Fantastic. The Covenant. fantastic movie. stout acting. words cant recount you how worthy i crave for it to score 5 stars the world over.

In the beginning of this 1 hour documentary, we are very snappily introduced to the 20 or so experts who will be giving their testimony throughout the film. It’s done hasty, but after the first 5 or so it becomes a sort of blur and you want to say, “Wait.. dumb down…”

The whole film is sort of like that.

There’s a LOT of proper information in “Uncovered.” It makes its case well, by calling upon people from within the CIA and within the government to scream their stories. It also does a very effective job of showing how the Bush administration changed its fable over time, and how things that were originally said to be moral were then de-emphasized and then finally denied completely.

The scrape I have with this documentary is that it throws so grand at the viewer so lickety-split that it weakens the impact of each successive fragment. In the interview with the director (in the Bonus Material portion of the DVD) he talks about having had only a few months to do all this information together and how frantic the stagger was to regain it done on time. Frankly, it shows.

What I would really like to gape is this same information taken and effect into some kind of cohesive sage, and rather than compressing it all into one hour, give it the time that it deserves and execute it a 2 hour film. Let us hear the testimonies of these people with a bit more depth, rather than throwing snippet after snippet at us. “Uncovered” is a immense rough draft of a documentary, but as a finished product it’s flawed.

For all of that, this is calm a documentary worth seeing. There’s a lot of astronomical information here; the step-by-step analysis of Powell’s speech to the UN is particularly effective. This is an considerable film and one that needs to be seen.

To the reviewer who titled his one-star review “Oh, Please,” perhaps you should fetch some sense of perspective. Hussein was certainly a brutal tyrant, but he did not raze MILLIONS of his subjects. Tens of thousands, yes, perhaps even hundreds of thousands. But MILLIONS? No.

Perhaps the distinction is lost on you, and in terms of whether it makes Hussein a MORE or LESS wicked brute, it is insignificant. However, it is crucial that WE build clear we are scrupulous when discussing the dismal deeds of others, or, in general, when discussing anything which requires careful deliberation prior to acting. Hyperbole merely destroys the perspective which is significant to resolve unbiased what actions ARE appropriate, and WHEN such actions must be carried out.

You say you don’t care whether Hussein had WMD or whether he was linked to 9/11, both of which were falsehoods promulgated by the Bush administration. The importance of whether our President tells the truth or not, especially in such urgent matters of residence as waging war, should be positive to anyone, and that you don’t glimpse it implies you lack a capacity to enjoy the injure done by such lies.

Nontheless, I’ll give it a shot: our country is based on the premise that we are self-governing; we elect persons to office to report us and to act FOR us in passing laws and managing affairs of region for the general welfare. In order to act in our possess interest, we must know who we’re actually electing, and we must know what they intend to do, based on who they snort us they are. When they’re in office, we must trust they’re telling us the truth so we may stammer our educated approval or disapproval of their decisions BEFORE they’re enacted. To go to war based on lies is to assure the people the upright to have their will acted upon. Once a president or other public official is caught lying, we can never know when they will lie in future, or even if they’ll EVER voice us the truth. How can we govern ourselves when those who describe us remark us lies and act according to reasons of their acquire? We can’t.

Moreover, how can we recall in diplomatic relations with other nations if they cannot trust that we’re acting truthfully and in apt faith? Again, we can’t.

As with anyone who lies, the lie poisons one’s ability ever to interact with that person again, as one can never trust that one will not be fooled or taken advantage of, or know whether the other party is acting for our best interests or for his acquire agenda.

All that said, UNCOVERED is valid, and reveals this administration’s abominable propensity to prevaricate to suit its absorb purposes. They could have gone to the UN and to Congress and tried to create a humanitarian case for removing Hussein: his brutality to his hold people. This being a representative Republic, we the people could have decided to aid the war or not based on apt reasons for going. But the Bushies feared the people would not mediate such reasons sufficient to wage war over, and they subverted democracy by lying to us in order that we would not halt their war of choice, a war they have carried out NOT because of any of the reasons they told us, but for geopolitical and ideological reasons of their absorb.

If this film were shown to every voter before November, we can be distinct Bush would have no chance of regaining office. He may not in any case, but with the illumination provided by this film, it would be, as George Tenet said, ” a SLAM DUNK!”

HIGHEST RATING!!

Film noir master Jean-Pierre Melville’s 1966 2 hr. and 24 min. mob yarn has everything you want to seek in a Melville film: a prison hurry sequence, gangland violence, cold jazz clubs with leggy blondes, Colt .45’s, fedoras, crime bosses putting together crews to pull off gargantuan jobs (in this case 1 billion in platinum bars), an intricately planned and executed heist sequence, stakeouts, hideouts, double-crosses, betrayals, brutal interrogations engaging torture, revenge, and, most importantly, memorable characters (on both sides of the law) who live by their enjoy private codes.

Its very hard to imagine what the careers of Coppola, Scorsese, Friedkin, Woo, and Tarantino (to name unbiased a handful of Melville’s progeny) would be were it not for the hard-hitting but chilly film noirs of Melville who provided the archetypes and templates for virtually every mob film to follow. But the pleasures of Melville’s films are many and no single filmaker that followed Melville into this genre (that he didn’t originate but that he certainly elevated) exercises his craft with as certain a hand and with as powerful integrity as Melville himself. This is due to the fact that Melville brought to the highly formulaic genre of film noir his experience as a resistance fighter in WWII and so when he puts together a slay sequence, an interrogation sequence, or any number of sequences appealing men doing battle with their conscience and with each other there is a realism (albeit a highly stylized realism) and an authenticity that is anything but formulaic. His imitators have made broad films which can be appreciated and notorious for their absorb specific merits, but no other filmaker seems to have this genre and the characters that inhabit it the scheme Melville does.

In the opening sequence Gustave “Gu” Minda (Lino Ventura: who looks like a execrable between Fellini at 65 & DeNiro at 45) breaks out of prison with the attend of two accomplices. Though a mere 46, “Gu” seems frail like an dilapidated man who can barely muster the energy or will to scale the last wall. The stark austerity of the prison with its formidable concrete walls that stretch high into the sky is like a mammoth and dehumanizing labyrinth of stone and living within these walls for so many years seems to have taken the life out of him and traditional him well beyond his years. One of the younger men dies when he falls from one of the walls. Once freed, the other two wing into the woods and jump on to a animated direct. Its a thrilling beginning, and we are holding our breath the whole intention. Throughout the sequence all we hear are the sounds of the men busily working to enact each task famous to free themselves, and then, once outside the prison, all we hear are the sounds of their newly liberated feet crunching leaves on the forest floor. We feel their exhileration. The entire sequence is like a highly condensed version of Bresson’s A Man Escaped. And all before the opening credits roll.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Le Deuxième Souffle! Click Here

With this first masterful sequence we know immediately that we have been delivered into the hands of a master cinematic craftsman. At 2 and a half hours we know its going to be a long slouch but we also know that there’s no better director to use 2 and half hours with.

I bought this film along with Le Doulos. I watched Le Doulos first, and, although luscious, it was fairly puny. Le Doulos is an spellbinding jazz duet featuring two thinly-imagined players for the most share and a clever and well-executed set but overall the film didn’t pack grand of a punch compared to the one delivered by this fully realized jazz symphony which features a cast of twelve fully realized players who are all given grand shroud attention and a labyrinthine site that puts these lives into contact with each other in extremely compelling, and, more often than not, deadly ways.

The fate of the other escapee eventually does figure into the myth and in a profound intention, but this is Gu’s epic. Once he finds his scheme aid to Paris he immediately seeks out his sister Sophie Manouche. In our first look of Manouche we learn that she runs a club and while shes talking to her business partner, Jacques the Lawyer, at the clubs bar three thugs hasten in and begin shooting up the situation. Manouche’s bodyguard, Alban, squeezes off a few expertly placed shots to fend them off but not before Jacques takes a bellyful of lead. This brings Inspector Bloc (Paul Meurisse, who will later appear in Melville’s masterpiece Army of Shadows) onto the scene. When Bloc begins asking questions no one’s talking, but Bloc is a frigid inspector who knows how to read men as well as evidence and he knows exactly what happened, who did it, and why.

Bloc knows everyone, and he understands the code of silence that governs the underworld. He also knows how these characters operate, their signature moves, as well as what they will do before they do it. Gu may be the most renowned underworld criminal of his day and his name may snarl immediate respect, but Bloc’s name is equally respected and equally feared. We know that it is only a matter of time until these two face off. That is unless the unscrupulous Inspector Fardiano (who is not so respectful of the thieves’–or any other–code of honor) doesn’t salvage up with Gu first.

Meanwhile, Paul Ricci is busy putting together a team in order to pull off a major heist. Paul Ricci is acting on a tip from “Nevada” (an old-timer who wears dusky shades and a stetson and drives a vast sunless cadillac, all Melville signatures) who has the inside scoop on exactly when and where an armored truck will be titillating 1 billion in platinum. Paul belongs to the higher class of gangster (the kind who live by an unspoken code of honor) but Paul’s brother Jo belongs to the lower class of gangster (the kind who don’t) . Paul recruits Antoine the Gypsy and Pascal and for a fourth he attempts to hire a cold blonde pro named Orloff who is the very model of the independent consummate professional that Melville would focus on in his next film, Le Samourai. When Orloff hears that two motorcycle cops must be dispatched he decides the job is too unsafe. Incandescent that Gu needs a enormous bag quickly so that he can elude the everpresent Bloc and proceed once and for all to Miami, Orloff passes the job on to him. Neither Orloff nor Gu trust Paul or his crew but Gu has no choice but to lift the job.

As you would question, the heist sequence, which takes region high in the mountains, is exquisitely choreographed and exquisitely shot by Melville. But, as masterful as this sequence is, its only one of several ravishing scenes in this impressive film.

Highly recommended.

DVD extras: Includes archival footage of Jean-Pierre Melville (wearing unlit shades) flanked by Lino Ventura and Paul Meurisse sitting at a bar together and answering questions about Le Deuxieme Souffle for a French television program. The interview lasts a mere three minutes but its very cold to view and hear Melville bellow about the crime genre not getting the respect it deserves from the French and to hear Ventura and Meurisse discuss their parts.

One of the chief merits of this film is having Lino Ventura as star instead of the more glamorous Belmondo or Delon (Melville’s typical choices) . Ventura has no veneer. His hangdog face and stocky body give an authenticity and grittiness to it — even in the midst of the usual Melville iconography of trenchcoats, American cars, and jazz. And, unlike the other two actors, he naturally embodies the fatalism that’s a critical piece to this record.

This is probably my common of Melville’s gangster films. It’s a eye of loyalties (based on a recent by José Giovanni) and it has more depth than his other gangster films. Best of all, it has characters that are quick-witted and trustworthy — forcing them to capture in battles of wits before they can win in gunplay.

There’s Blot, the Police Inspector (personified by Paul Meurisse), who possesses a Sherlock Holmesian cleverness. There’s the mysterious Orloff (Pierre Zimmer) whose calm skill seems to be a precursor to Alain Delon’s role in Melville’s next movie, LE SAMOURAÏ. And even Manouche (Christine Fabrega) is proactive altho her significant purpose is to provide an emotional center for the film.

There are many tense, attractive episodes in this 2 hr 10 min film which fabricate the wearisome spots that bridge them seem less like tedious spots.

My thanks to Criterion for making this ravishing film available. That makes 11 Jean-Pierre Melville films that I’ve seen. 3 to go.

The Criterion DVD has a detailed film commentary by Melville expert Ginette Vincendeau and British film critic Geoff Andrew. Bertrand Tavernier speaks in English of his experiences with Melville. And there’s a short fragment made on Melville at the time of this film’s production.

This dvd is the best that Paramount has build out. The color is crystal titillating that you can examine the folds in the groundless lawn, the sound is awsome to. Plus they are all uncut, which you will never gain on cable at all. The commentarys with the Brady kids are mammoth! I only wish they did more commentarys, but thats ok.

I cant wait for season 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After Hammer Studio had such success with their versions of Dracula and Frankenstein, it was inevitable they would tackle another one of the classic monsters of Universal’s fright pantheon. By granting Universal the American distribution rights, Hammer was allowed to acquire their gain veil versions of the Mummy movies from the 1930s and ’40s (never mind Universal ripped off an Arthur Conan Doyle short epic “The ring of Thoth” in the first spot) . Hammer’s 1959 (yes, that’s the Good date) film “The Mummy,” directed by Terence Fisher, actually ends up being one of the studio’s best scare films. Dwelling in 1895, English archaeologists inform the tomb of the Egyptian princess Ananka (Yvonne Furneaux) . When Stephen Banning (Felix Aylmer) enters the tomb, ignoring the warnings of the Egyptian Mehemet (George Pastell), he is driven angry. Of course, he has encounter Kharis (Christopher Lee), the living mummy. Three years later, Stephen warns his son John (Peter Cushing) that the mummy is after them, but the warning is ignored. Mehemet arrives approach the asylum and sends the mummy to raze the half-mad Stephen in his padded cell. Following his father’s slay, John learns the yarn of Kharis and Ananka, the high priest who loved the princess so worthy he tried to bring him attend from death with the Scroll of Life and was entombed as a living mummy for his sacrilege. When Kharis strikes again, John learns the legends are fair. But then Mehemet orders the mummy to waste John’s wife Isobel, who is the living image of Kharis’ beloved Ananka (because she is also played by Furneaux. At this point, the Mummy refuses to obey and we are well on our procedure to the requisite tragic ending.

“The Mummy” is one of the better looking Hammer films, thanks to Bernard Robinson’s production designs and Jack Asher’s cinematography, the high point of which is the lengthy Egyptian flashback sequence. Peter Cushing plays John Banning the hero with a sense of downhearted attributable to not only his crippled leg but sadness over the tragic consequences of their worship expedition. George Pastell’s Mehemet is one of the most thoughtful and pious villains you will ever obtain in a dread film. As Kharis, Christopher Lee has another peaceful role that forces him to communication his longing for Ananka through his eyes and gestures. Lee’s mummy is great more muscular and athletic than Karloff’s fresh. No dreary shuffling monster here, the scene where Kharis smashes through the sanitarium window to attack Stephen Banning is one of the best action sequences in Hammer’s history. It is not surprising Lee suffering physically because of this film. “The Mummy” stands out from other Hammer films not only because the monster is different this time around, but more because it does explain the shadowy and white division between Obliging and Depraved we near to interrogate in Fisher’s films. After all, Kharis has suffered for ages in unspeakable torment and kills only to protect Isobel thinking she is Ananka, so there is a degree of pity keen, while we have some feelings of disgust towards the archeologists who are so dismissive of native beliefs. Clearly there is more depth here to the characters than we accept in the contemporary block busters where the appeal is pure special effects.

Okay… bullets don’t terminate him, bogs don’t drown him, and running a spear through him simply causes a handful of desiccated kidney dust to pour out of the exit area and, if those blazing brown eyes are any indication, accept madder than he was to commence with. How do you discontinuance Kharis (Christopher Lee), the Mummy, who has traveled from Egypt to the unruffled countryside of England to wreak havoc (aka, waste) the three English archeologists who desecrated the tomb of his beloved, Princess Ananka. Traveling with is his keeper, Mehemet Bey (George Pastell), who conveniently carries along with him, in a mini-mummy casket, a scroll of life which, when read, brings them serve from the plain.

Man, what a thankless role Lee was stuck with in this one. His mummy makeup is as stiff as a plaster cast, he doesn’t even acquire to growl, and the only emotion he’s allowed to inform in this one – establish for an extended flashback scene where’s he’s the high priest preparing the Princess for burial – is through the eyes. Of course, Kharis had a forbidden, meddlesome treasure for the Princess, which helped speed his outraged congregation turning him into Dust-for-Guts, so I guess he had it coming to him. That forbidden admire was a excellent thing for archeologist John Banning (Peter Cushing) though, who had the substantial profitable sense to marry Princess Ananka look-alike Isobel (Yvonne Furneaux.) If guns, bogs, and spears won’t cessation the Mummy (why didn’t anyone believe about a bucket of creosote and a lit match!? Affirm.) a squealed “Cessation!” from Isobel/Ananka seems fairly effective.

THE MUMMY is one of those fun Hammer House films I haven’t watched for a generation or so and delight in rediscovering. Cushing it at the top of his construct, and Lee makes the most of his cramped opportunities to generate sympathy for the monster. The Mummy is one of the hardest of the classic monsters to warm up to. Dracula is heartless but has a chilly charm and more than enough style to gain our attention. Frankenstein’s Monster is a pathetic creature in battle with his creator. The Wolfman’s got that wolfbane curse that was a result of an accident totally beyond his control. The Mummy defies his gods by attempting to resurrect the Princess, and spends most movies trying to reunite with her. To their credit, Hammer’s Mummy also has Mehemet Bey, who preys upon the residual guilt of the English for robbing Egypt of her sacred treasures. So this Mummy has a two-track, lost love/revenge theme going. Helpful fun, THE MUMMY is about as family-safe film as you’ll get. There’s no nudity, extremely minimal gore, and there’s more talk than alarm. Keen talk, too, especially the third act guilt-trip Mehemet Bey tries to lay on Banning. Solid recommendation.

Relentlessly optimistic, drunk and defeated, man-child, sponge-man — this movie has it all. Most of the parents in the audience didn’t collect it. But I’ve been an outspoken SpongeBob fan for years. Hell, I’ll bet I like the television reveal even more than my children do — and they like it a lot.

It’s hard to record this film, at least in a intention that will do it justice. Is it stout? In it’s occupy zigzag, surreal plot, determined. It’s littered with double entendres, to be positive, and a few nautical butt cheeks, too. I issue the studio insisted on the latter. The bottom line is that we need SpongeBob, maybe more than we ever did. His salubrious cheer in the face of danger is downright inspirational. Plus, he can blow bubbles with the best of them.

The sinful villain, Plankton, speaks for all of us when he says, “His chops are too capable!”

The controversy over SpongeBob’s sexual orientation has been quite interesting but nowhere approach as racy as this very silly movie based on the well-liked TV series on Nickelodeon. Unbiased in case you’ve been living under a rock for the last five years, SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Mr. Krabs and all the residents of Bikini Bottom have become the most hip (and comical) half hour this side of “The Simpsons”. More importantly, it’s a program that almost all family members can see without becoming offended (well, except for those folks wondering about SpongeBob’s sexuality) . It’s a fun method to exercise an hour and a half with the kids. After losing a treasured promotion to manage the Krusty Krab 2 restaurant because he’s objective a kid, SpongeBob is the only person who can discontinuance Plankton from taking over Bikini Bottom. Plankton resorts to View Z (having frail every other belief in the alphabet) to frame Mr. Krabs for the theft of King Neptune’s crown. The minute Plankton hopes to spy the secret to the Krabby Patty and ultimately rule the undersea world! Meanwhile, Spongebob and his dark witted friend Patrick must fade to the dreaded Shell City to recover the King’s crown and terminate Plankton before it’s too behind.

Featuring a honorable cast of guest voices including Jeffrey Tambor (“Arrested Development”), Scarlet Johansson (“Lost in Translation”), Clancy Brown (“The Shawshank Redemption”), Alec Baldwin and, of all people, David Hasselhoff, the film may lack the sparkle of the best episodes of the series but it more than makes up for this shortcoming with a number of witty gags. Kids will devour the antics of SpongeBob and Patrick while adult males will empathize King Neptune’s attempts to mask his bald area with his crown (he’s desperate enough to resort to Hair in a Can at one point although that doesn’t quite work out as planned) and envy David Hasselhoff as he uses his pecs to commence the duo succor into the sea. There’s also a serious message as Mindy the King’s daughter encourages SpongeBob and Patrick to be kids and be OK with it.

Featuring a grand transfer with radiant and luminous colors, Bikini Bottom has never looked so, well, provocative. A very enchanting transfer with few digital artifacts to distract viewers from the absurd images, “Spongebob” looks better than any sponge has a lawful to. The 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround mix is feeble to fine and sometimes very silly execute.

The 20 itsy-bitsy animatic segment gives viewers a peak into all the preparation work that went into producing the movie. Director Hillenburg’s comments provide lively and sometimes droll insights into the challenge of producing a movie great less a TV series as comical as this. The behind-the-scenes featurette is both charming and quite comic with a gaze into everything from creating the absurd record at the heart of this film to the hilarious recording sessions featuring the protest cast. There’s also a featurette The “THQ” game demo is actually quite fun but doesn’t really provide that great of a taste as to what the game could do. The Case of Sponge “Bob” features Jean-Michel Cousteau in a tongue-in-cheek short documentary. We perceive an informative and fun discussion of valid sponges with undersea footage narrated by Cousteau with writer/director Hillenburg. “Saving the Surf” features Chad Nelsen, Matt McClain and Steve Pezman founders of the Surfrider Foundation discussing the importance of keeping our environment spruce and the impact of our pollution on the ocean and our beaches. The teaser trailer for “Submarine” features footage of “Das Boot”, “U571″ and “The Hunt for Red October” intercut with footage created for the cartoon trailer for “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie”. There’s also previews for other Paramount family qualified titles as well.

A droll visit with the denizens of the deep, “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie” will sustain you and the kids entertained. The film doesn’t pander to kids and has impartial the accurate level of slapstick humor to preserve adults entertained as well. Although it does have a serious message at its core, the film is a lot of fun.

“Vampire Slayers” is competently made, and that is all it is. It is not piquant, piquant, droll, repugnant or any of the other superlatives listed on the support of the box.

Puffery is expected, acceptable, often clever and comical. But there is a crucial disagreement between advertising puffery and flat-out lying. If your standard for choosing movies consists of the request “Is the movie in focus? ” than “Vampire Slayers” makes the gash, otherwise don’t slay your time and money.

This is a movie about a breakout at a state where they preserve vampires. The movie tells how distinct groups go after and end those vampires and how the vampires obtain along as well. It was an keen version of the vampire type and fair delightful.

The main reason my daughter was so furious about this movie was because of the pegasus shown on the front veil. She’s so into horses and if they glide or have a horn…even better. Well, guess what…NO Pegasus in this movie! She kept asking where it was and when the movie was ending and mild no pegasus…the tears came (she is a dramatic 4 yr stale, but I was even disappointed for her) . As it turns out, the pegasus is only in the “Special Features” share as a music video which is about 3 minutes long. What a disappointment. As it turns out she collected enjoys the movie (it also comes with 2 other episodes: Dora’s Jack-In-The-Box and Bark, Bark To Play Park), but I fabricate obvious we examine the music video a couple times before I turn it off. She’s common it now, but calm I wish I would have known before her Grandma bought her this movie.

Personally I can’t stand Dora but my 4 year worn niece loves her. So, if she’s entertained (and smooth) when this is on I’m gratified. I’m not obvious of the educational value but my niece does pay attention and do the diminutive movements and exercises. I’d recommend for the young kids.

My three-year-old absolutely loves these Word World videos and out of our entire collection, these are the movies he usually chooses to watch. They are very good at keeping him focused on what is being taught and he retains what he has seen. They are clean, educational, and fun.

I have movie nights with my twin grandchildren. I am always trying to find movies that will entertain them and teach them. WordWorld is the best series ever!!! The stories keep their attention, make them laugh, yet teach them words and letters of the alphabet!! I intend to purchase every WordWorld DVD and give them to all my grandchildren.
